Happy New Year! We hope that you all had a great break and were able to relax over the holidays. Your dancer may wear a form fitting long sleeve shirt or a dance sweater to class as sometimes the studio is a little chilly as we get started. (Please no jackets as they tend to be bulkier and hard to dance in.)

Recital Updates – Our Recital 2023 Theme is: The Magical Book Shoppe. We will have THREE shows in Recital at Decatur HS on June 4th. Full details will be sent out in the February Newsletter with a list of which classes will perform in each show and additional Rehearsal dates. Please note we have added dates below for when Recital Tickets go on sale, Parent Info Meeting/Costume Check, and Recital Pictures at the Studio. When Recital Tickets go on sale, you will be able to purchase a digital video, flowers, and a Tshirt.
All classes at the studio and at our schools/preschools participate in the Recital except for the Thurs morning Dance with Me Toddler class.
Inclement Weather – If we have any changes to our class schedule, we will send out an email to parents and post a notice on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Absence & Illness – Please keep children home if they are ill. If your child misses a class please reach out to us and we can schedule a makeup class. Full details of our Absences & Illness Policy are on our website.
Tuition Invoices – We have had some parents reach out regarding automatic card payments for tuition invoices. If you have inadvertently set your invoice payments to automatically charge your card via Square, and want to turn that function off or change to a different date, please reach out to Beth for assistance.
Communication – Newsletters are posted to our website under News and sent to the email address on file. If you prefer that we use an alternate email address or would like to add a secondary contact please let my Office Manager, Beth or I know and we will change/add it.

Silly Sock/Tights/Legwarmers Week – Mon, Feb 28-Sat, Mar 5
Dancers can wear silly socks, patterned tights, or legwarmers to dance class this week.
Recital Tickets on Sale – Thurs, Mar 16 at 10am
Details about Recital tickets will be sent out in our March Newsletter.
Spring Break – Mon, Apr 3 – Sat, Apr 8 – studio closed
*Saturday classes do have class on Sat, Apr 1st
Parent Recital Informational Meeting and Costume Check – May 1 – May 6
Parents will attend your child’s dance class that week for important info about Recital.
Recital Pictures – May 20 &21
More details and a signupgenius for Pictures will come out in April.
Studio Rehearsals – May 23, 24, 25 and May 30, 31 & Jun 1
Your child’s class will be assigned to specific Studio Rehearsal dates and those will be communicated by the end of February.
Closed for Memorial Day Holiday – Mon, May 29
Dress Rehearsal – Sat, Jun 3 – Mark your calendars for Dress Rehearsal at Decatur High School. Each class will be assigned a time for Dress Rehearsal (those details will come out closer to time).
Recital – Sun, Jun 4 – Mark your calendars for our Recital. We will be at Decatur High School. Your child’s show information will be sent out in the February Newsletter.
Summer Camp Information
We have two Early Registration dates – if you register for camp by March 15th you save $50 off the camp fee listed below. Register between March 16th and April 15th and save $25. After April 16th all camps are full price.
June 26-30 Half day “Under the Sea” Camp for Preschool (age 2.5) to finished PreK
Includes ballet and tumbling
9:30AM-12:30PM
Cost: $175
June 26-30 Half Day “Under the Sea” Camp – K-2nd Grade
Includes ballet, tap, and acrodance
1:00PM-5:00PM
Cost: $200
(5 year olds who have had ballet with POG can take this camp with teacher recommendation)
July 10-14 Full Day “Under the Sea” Camp – Finished K-5th Grade
Includes ballet, jazz, modern, acro and tap
9:30AM-3:30PM
Cost: $300
(Rising K students who have had ballet with POG can take this camp with teacher recommendation)
