Mara has taken dance since she was 2, and been a student of Amy’s since age 4. She joined the Southern Ballet Theater Company at age 12 and advanced to the pre-professional level at age 14, under the direction of Phyllis Allen. Mara was a guest dancer with the Atlanta Ballet in The Nutcracker. Mara was a soloist in the Southern Ballet Theater’s productions of Aladdin and Pirates (an adaptation of Pirates of the Caribbean).

Mara was invited to attend the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association festival (SERBA) for 2009, 2010 and 2011. She performed a contemporary piece at the 2011 festival. Mara joined the St. Pius X Catholic High School Dance Company in Fall 2011 and was a soloist for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. She received the Excellence in Technique award in 2013. Mara has been working with Pointe of Grace since 2012 as an Assistant Teacher. She is attending the University of Georgia this year.
