Dear Parents,

We are all looking forward to our upcoming Recital. It’s so exciting to be back in a theatre and having a “normal” Recital this year! All of our classes are working hard on their recital dances. Some of our classes have the ability to perform for other classes meeting at the studio at the same time so that they can practice being an audience and a performer. We look forward for all our students to have this opportunity during our studio rehearsals.

Tickets for Recital will go on Sale at 10AM on Monday, May 2nd. Additional information and instructions on how to order tickets will come out via email to parents the week before. We are limiting ticket purchases to 7 tickets per student for the initial order to ensure that all dance families have an opportunity to purchase tickets. On Mon, May 23rd at 10AM all remaining tickets will be available for families to purchase additional tickets if they need them.

Costume Check – this is a required meeting for the parents. Ms. Amy will go over all the information for Studio Rehearsals, Dress Rehearsal, and Recital at this meeting. There are two sessions – Fri, Apr 29th at 11:15AM or Sun, May 1st at 2PM. The Costume check will be about 30 minutes and is via Zoom. Please sign up for a Costume Check session at this link. You only need to attend one session.

We have the very talented Steven Dewberry, of SRD Photography, taking our recital pictures again this year. If you would like to see samples of his work, please visit srdphoto.com. The pictures will be individual portraits of your child, and are optional. The package sheet for dance pictures can be found here. Payment will be due at the time of the session. You must make an appointment to have your child’s recital pictures taken. 

Picture dates are:
Saturday, May 14th
Sunday, May 15th

Pictures are at our studio – 4450 Hugh Howell Rd, Suite 7, Tucker, GA. Some GPS’s take you to the shopping center next door. We are located in the Shops of Heritage Place shopping center between Moe’s and Magnolia Cafe.

Please arrive for pictures with your child’s hair and makeup done. Do not permit your child to wear his/her costume in the car. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to get your child changed. Don’t forget tights and shoes, as well as all parts to the costume – accessories, hair pieces, etc. If you have multiple children taking classes, please sign up for a time slot for each child.

Ms. Candi, Steven’s wife, will be on hand to show you the proofs, answer any questions, and assist with the ordering process. Cash, check or charge accepted.

Some of our Ensemble dancers will do hair for $10 – if you would like to schedule an appointment for your dancer’s hair – Sign up for Recital Pictures first, then fill out this form to schedule a time for hair. This is a fundraiser for our Ensemble dancers to attend a Conference this summer.

We have added a shop to our website for you to Pre-order a Recital T-shirt, Video, or Flowers for your student. Please note the following due dates for Pre-orders:

  • Recital T-shirts – Pre-orders close on Sun, May 1st at 11PM
  • Recital Flowers – Pre-orders close on Sun, May 15th at 11PM
  • Recital Video – Pre-orders close on Sat, June 4th at 11PM

Recital T-shirts – Pre-order price is $20. We will have a limited number of extra shirts for sale at Dress Rehearsal and Recital at $25 each. Design is coming soon and we will update our social media and the shop with an image when we have that finalized.

Recital Video Digital Download – Pre-order a video of your child’s Recital Cast for $25. Videos will be a digital link that you will be sent via email approximately 8 weeks after Recital.
